1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Flowlog mobile application ("App", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

The Service is provided by Flowlog, a business registered in Australia, located at 8 Leydin Court, Darwin City, Northern Territory, Australia.

2. Service Description

Flowlog is a personal finance and work time tracking application that provides the following features:

Core Features:

• Account Management: Add and manage bank accounts and cash accounts with balance tracking, account numbers (last 4 digits), sub-accounts (Transaction/Savings), and multi-currency support
• Work Time Tracking: Work log recording with multiple calculation methods (Fixed Hours, By Minute, By Second), clock-in/out functionality, time deduction features, work hours/days/pieces tracking, multiple rate types (weekday, weekend, holiday, night), expected income calculation
• Payout Management: Salary payment records including gross/net amounts, tax withholding, superannuation, GST tracking (for ABN), payment breakdowns, payslip photo attachments, partial payment tracking, recurring payment support
• Employment Management: Multiple employment relationships, unlimited roles per employment, special rate configurations, default deductions, pay cycle management
• Analytics: Time-based and attribute-based statistics, income trends, company/role breakdowns, tax summaries, multi-period comparisons
• Net Worth Tracking: Automatic calculation of total assets across all accounts
• Data Protection: Single device login limitation for enhanced security

• OAuth login (Google Sign-In) - Not available in Mainland China
• OAuth login (Apple Sign-In) - Available globally including Mainland China
• Email verification for account activation
• Password reset via email
• Single device login limitation for security

3. Account Registration and Security

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Valid email address required for account verification
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Account Security

• Single device login only - logging in on a new device automatically logs out other devices
• Biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID) available for additional security
• Regular password changes recommended
• Report any unauthorized access immediately

Account Restrictions

• Each account is for individual use only
• Account sharing is strictly prohibited
• Account transfer is not supported
• Data migration between accounts is not available
• One account per person

Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through the App
• Upon account deletion, your data will be retained for 30 days for recovery before permanent deletion
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Termination does not entitle you to refunds for unused subscription periods

4. Subscription and Payment

Subscription Plans

• Monthly: AUD $5.99 (or equivalent in local currency)
• Annual: AUD $59.99 (or equivalent in local currency)
• All payments are processed through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system

Free Trial

• New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full premium features
• Payment method required to start trial (Apple App Store requirement)
• Cancel anytime before trial ends to avoid charges
• After the trial period, subscription automatically begins unless cancelled

Subscription Management

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Cancel through Apple App Store subscription settings
• Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period
• Downgrade to free version after cancellation
• Re-subscribe anytime to regain premium features

Refund Policy

• Refunds are handled entirely by Apple according to their App Store policies
• We do not control or process refunds directly
• To request a refund:
  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find the Flowlog subscription
  4. Select "Report a Problem" and request refund
• Apple's decision on refunds is final
• Common reasons Apple may approve refunds:
  • Technical issues preventing app usage
  • Accidental purchases
  • Duplicate subscriptions
• We cannot issue refunds directly but can provide support documentation if needed

5. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

Data Accuracy

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all financial data you input
• The App only collects, calculates, and displays the information you provide
• You should verify all calculations and data before making financial decisions
• Regular reconciliation with actual bank statements recommended

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for:

• ✅ Tracking multiple employment sources

You may NOT use the Service for:

• ❌ Managing multiple people's data under one account

• ❌ Business payroll management for employees
• ❌ Illegal financial activities
• ❌ Money laundering or fraud

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to hack, crack, or bypass App security to obtain premium services
• Exploit frontend or backend vulnerabilities
• Disrupt or damage the Service or servers
• Share, sell, or transfer your account
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Reverse engineer the App or its services
• Circumvent subscription requirements

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Rights

• All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Flowlog
• The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
• Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written permission
• The Flowlog name, logo, and all related designs are our exclusive property

Your Content

• You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service
• By uploading photos (payslips) or other content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, store, and display such content solely for providing the Service
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content
• We may delete content that violates these Terms

Third-Party Services

• Exchange rate data provided by fawazahmed0 remains their property
• OAuth providers (Google, Apple) retain their respective rights
• Third-party service terms apply to their respective services

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

• All data is stored on secure PostgreSQL databases on servers in Australia
• Data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS
• Regular backups for disaster recovery
• You are responsible for maintaining your own backups through data export (Premium feature)

Data Export

• Premium users can export data at any time in CSV format
• Free users can view but not export their data
• You have the right to delete your account and all associated data
• Exported data becomes your responsibility

Data Analytics

• We do not use third-party analytics tools
• We do not track user behavior for advertising
• Minimal technical data collected for app functionality only

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Service "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

No Financial or Tax Advice

• The App is a tool for recording and organizing financial information only
• All calculations and data are for reference only
• We do not provide tax, legal, or financial advice
• Exchange rates provided by third parties are for reference only
• You should consult qualified professionals for financial and tax matters
• We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on app data

Exchange Rate Disclaimer

• Exchange rates provided by fawazahmed0's free API
• Rates are for reference only, not for actual currency trading
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of exchange rates
• Always verify rates with official sources for important transactions

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for any loss of profits, data loss (except where caused by our gross negligence), or business interruption
• We are not liable for third-party service failures (OAuth, exchange rates, App Store)

Data Loss

• We implement reasonable measures to prevent data loss
• We are responsible for data loss caused by our system failures or gross negligence
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of important information
• Premium users should regularly export their data
• Free users should consider upgrading for export capability
• Force majeure events exempt us from data loss liability

9. Service Modifications and Interruptions

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time

• We may add, modify, or remove features without notice
• Pricing changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance

Service Availability

• We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service
• In case of extended service interruption (>24 hours), we will work with Apple for potential refunds

Feature Deprecation

• Deprecated features will have a migration period when possible
• Data export will be available before feature removal
• Alternative solutions will be suggested when feasible

Free Version Limitations

• We may adjust free tier limits with 30 days notice
• Existing data will not be deleted if limits change
• Users can upgrade to Premium to avoid limitations

10. Violations and Enforcement

Violation Consequences

Depending on the severity of the violation:

• Warning for first-time minor violations
• Temporary suspension for repeated violations
• Account termination for serious violations including:
  • Cracking or hacking attempts
  • System intrusions or attacks
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Multiple account abuse
  • Attempting to bypass subscription requirements
• Legal action for violations causing service disruption or losses
• Immediate suspension for any activity that threatens Service security

Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

• Investigate suspected violations
• Monitor account activity for security purposes
• Remove or disable access to violating content
• Terminate or suspend accounts without notice for serious violations
• Cooperate with law enforcement authorities
• Pursue legal remedies for damages

Appeal Process

• Users may appeal account suspensions or terminations
• Appeals must be submitted via email within 30 days
• We will review and respond within 14 business days
• Our decision on appeals is final

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Applicable Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution Process

You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Northern Territory, Australia for the purpose of litigating all such claims or disputes.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against us.

12. Changes to Terms

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment

• You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms
• We may assign our rights to any of our affiliates or successors
• Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, strikes, or Internet service provider failures.

Language

These Terms are written in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only, and the English version shall prevail in case of any discrepancy.

Survival

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination of these Terms.
